South Tyneside Young Carers Project has been delivering support to young carers and their families for 15 years, with the aim of improving their quality of life and reducing the risk of isolation.

We passionately believe that every young carer should be able to enjoy their childhood and have a supportive environment in which they can retreat from the pressures they often face.

Our team of experienced and caring staff work closely with local partners and schools to support young carers through a range of services including one to one support, family support and emotional support. We also provide recreational and respite activities including residential short breaks, after school clubs during term time and activities during school holidays. These services provide support that would otherwise not be available, contributing significantly to the health and wellbeing of those we support.

This summer holiday time we’ve put together a number of themed family packs for our young carer families to enjoy. Our family beach pack comes with everything you need to enjoy a brilliant family day at the sea side during the summer holidays???? As a family you can decide when to use this pack and make a day of it. The pack will include everything you need for a perfect day at the beach, fingers crossed the weather is sunny and hot! Think your family would love one, why not book yourself for one this summer?
