South Tyneside Young Carers Project has been delivering support to young carers and their families for 15 years, with the aim of improving their quality of life and reducing the risk of isolation.

We passionately believe that every young carer should be able to enjoy their childhood and have a supportive environment in which they can retreat from the pressures they often face.

Our team of experienced and caring staff work closely with local partners and schools to support young carers through a range of services including one to one support, family support and emotional support. We also provide recreational and respite activities including residential short breaks, after school clubs during term time and activities during school holidays. These services provide support that would otherwise not be available, contributing significantly to the health and wellbeing of those we support.

TEN South Tyneside Young Carers

Try something new with us and have a go at tossing some axes at game of throws! We'll learn how to correctly throw some axes and have a little competition to see who can hit the most targets. Please note parents/guardians will be required to drop off and collect children from the venue. Please ensure your child wears appropriate clothing for this activity and bring along a drink too!
