South Tyneside Young Carers Project has been delivering support to young carers and their families for 15 years, with the aim of improving their quality of life and reducing the risk of isolation.

We passionately believe that every young carer should be able to enjoy their childhood and have a supportive environment in which they can retreat from the pressures they often face.

Our team of experienced and caring staff work closely with local partners and schools to support young carers through a range of services including one to one support, family support and emotional support. We also provide recreational and respite activities including residential short breaks, after school clubs during term time and activities during school holidays. These services provide support that would otherwise not be available, contributing significantly to the health and wellbeing of those we support.

TEN South Tyneside Young Carers

This summer holiday time we’ve put together a number of themed family packs for our young carer families to enjoy. Our family movie pack comes with everything you need to enjoy a wholesome family night in enjoying you're own movie. Our pack contains popcorn, sweets, a baking pack and a £10 Asda gift card so you can go choose your own movie or snacks to enjoy too! Think your family would love one, why not book yourself for one this summer?
