South Tyneside Young Carers Project has been delivering support to young carers and their families for 15 years, with the aim of improving their quality of life and reducing the risk of isolation.

We passionately believe that every young carer should be able to enjoy their childhood and have a supportive environment in which they can retreat from the pressures they often face.

Our team of experienced and caring staff work closely with local partners and schools to support young carers through a range of services including one to one support, family support and emotional support. We also provide recreational and respite activities including residential short breaks, after school clubs during term time and activities during school holidays. These services provide support that would otherwise not be available, contributing significantly to the health and wellbeing of those we support.

Oh no! Poor Jingle the Elf has lost Santa’s super-duper important Christmas list! Can Jingle be brave and clever to find it before Christmas Eve and save Christmas? Join us for an exciting show full of fun songs, silly moments, and friendly characters that your little ones will adore. It’s just the right mix of excitement and gentle storytelling for young hearts to get right into the festive spirit! This is for registered young carers. Transport is not included for the event however if you are trouble to get to the venue, please let us know and we advise you the best way to get there. Please note parents/guardians will be required to drop off and collect children from the venue. A small snack pack will be provided during this activity, however your child is more than welcome to bring their own snacks.
